JTV Broadcast company was authorized as an official media on the 17th of February 1997 and started broadcasting on the 27th of September 1997 as a privately-owned type of broadcasting. In addition, JTV formed a partnership with SBS-TV broadcasting company to secure the right to know for the people in Jeollabuk-do. And JTV is televising some of their programs national wide. Their broadcasting area covers Jeollabuk-do and southern part of Chungcheongnam-do, and the number of household audience is two million. JTV broadcasts all throughout the day and administer general programming TV channels such as news, drama, documentary and cultural programs and so on.
